Prison Ministry
In 2018 our vision to minister to those who are incarnated, took root in our assistant pastor's heart, in accordance with Matthew 25:36, “I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and came to visit me.” Pastor Yvonne C. Rankine was moved by the heartbreaking cry of a mother desperately in need of help for her son.
It was brought to our assistant pastor’s attention that an old friend’s son had been incarcerated in New York, serving 30 years to life. Being without a strong and reliable support system in the country, God would have the family of World Harvest Deliverance Center Inc. to adopt this young man and encourage him through his ordeal.
From the moment of their first visit on November 17, 2018, our leaders have made it their duty to stand in support of this family. Consequently, by answering the call of this family, the ministry has been able to provide moral, spiritual, and financial support to several other inmates, over the last five years.
Quarterly scheduled visits have been implemented where members of the ministry are given the opportunity to minister to these individuals. They share the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, providing encouragement, financial support, and regular communication, electronically. It is indeed a pleasure and privilege to serve this community and their families to the honor and glory of God. We would love to hear from you as to how we could serve your families through this ministry.
